Clad in their costumes and armed with their weaponry, characters descended upon San Diego this past weekend for the annual San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). This four-day event kicked off with a super-exclusive preview night where devout four-day pass holders lined up out the door to collect freebies and collectibles. The entire weekend showcased “comic books, science fiction/fantasy and film/television, and related popular arts…horror, animation, anime, manga, toys, collectible card games, video games, web comics, and fantasy novels.”
Many came to meet their favorite celebrities who showed up to announce news about upcoming films, TV shows, and more. Some of SDCC’s highlights included: the Marvel Comics panel, the Mini Iron Man contest judged by Robert Downey Jr., the attendance of the sci fi/fantasy Runelords team, the Twilight cast panel, and the horrifying Walking Dead Black Carpet.
