Spoilers Begone: ‘Olwimpics’ Censor
2 Aug 2012
Keep Olympic spoilers out of your feed with Olwimpics! With NBC having the primetime rights to airing the Olympics, there have been mass criticisms of the network when deciding to show events in real time. If you are one of those people that prefer to wait until primetime to watch tape-delayed events instead, a browser extension called ‘Olwimpics’ is at your rescue!
It blocks spoilers by censoring relevant words, like Olympics, sports, events, medals, gold, silver, bronze, and other sports related words. Although not fool-proof, it can give you a heads up if an article contains information you don’t want to see! Olwimpics is available on Safari, Google Chrome, and Firefox.
NBC has already recognized the real-time vs. primetime airing issues, and has promised a better game plan for the 2016 Olympics located in Rio!
‘Olwimpics’ has already been downloaded more than 2,000 times! Would you use this censor?
