Last night’s CMT Awards attendees brought the sparkle and shine on red carpet, or should we say to the purple carpet. Country’s biggest stars gathered for a fun-filled night of live music and awesome performances. The evening’s host, Kristen Bell, charmed the audience with her sweet personality and wowed fashionistas with her stunning wardrobe choices. From frills to sequins to lace and layers, Kristen Bell stole the show.

The Prestigious Kodak turns into Hollywood and Highland

With the Oscars going on right now, we thought we’d divulge a few facts about the famous venue!

Inside the theatre

1. Since it’s 2001 opening, the Kodak Theatre has played host to the Academy Awards every year.

2. In a recent bankruptcy settlement (last week) a judge granted Kodak’s request to remove their name from the building, now making it the Hollywood and Highland Center.

3. The theatre was designed by David Rockwell, specifically with the Oscars in mind.

4. Cirque du Soleil’s new show, Iris, is hosted at this venue.  The premise of Iris is “A Journey Through the World of Cinema,” so it makes sense that the show is in the heart of hollywood.

5. In addition to the Academy Awards, this venue has been host to many other events, including; The ESPY Awards, American Idol, BET Awards, Miss USA Pageant, 33rd and 34th Daytime Emmy Awards, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and many others.
