In honor of Columbus Day, we hope everyone is out on the water enjoying their day or evening off. To help you find some activities today we have come up with some of the top ways to celebrate America’s discovery!
Spend the day in the water by visiting your favorite pool or beach! With friends and family you’ll be sure to ring in this 519th anniversary the right way. Lucky for all, the weather has clear blue skies just as Christopher must have seen when sighting our beloved land.
For those of you close enough to a marina, be sure to check out some harbor cruises. There are many local tours that sail along the coast, holding breakfast, lunch, and dinner cruises. This is one way to surely get into the holiday and rediscover the beauty of the land.
Day trip to an island just off the coast! Why not spend the day having an adventure and going somewhere new? Today is all about exploration, so grab a light jacket and be sure to hit the water.
For those of you unable to get away for the day, throw a nautical themed party where everyone dresses up either in old 1490′s attire or more modern day sailor costumes. You can serve some fun seafood appetizers and summery drinks just as if you yourself had set foot on land for the first time.
