Sugar Loco Gives Rave Reviews for Coupa Cafe’s Desserts

Sugar Loco, an online dessert website featuring the best from all over the nation, is known for interviewing the top pastry chefs, featuring the most delicious recipes, and posting tasty treats for kids. Editor Alana DeLeon-Lott graciously visited P3R Publicity‘s client Coupa Café in Beverly Hills to try their delectable Venezuelan desserts.

Coupa Café is a hidden gem amongst Beverly Hills waiting to be discovered. Chef and owner Camelia Coupal prepared  for Sugar Loco her rich Chocolate Mousse made from 100% Venezuelan cocoa, that Alana found “light, airy and deliciously rich.” The editor noted that this recipe has been passed down two generations stating she could “taste the love and care that goes into this recipe.” Next up was Tres Leches that Alana found the BEST she has ever tasted, which is an honor coming from a dessert critique. Made with three milks, one secret to Camelia’s recipe, this Tres Leches was “melt in your mouth amazingness.” Lastly, Alana tried the irresistible Quesillo, a Venezuelan staple dessert with the flavor of rum and Venezuelan Crème Caramel. Get Egg-cited: How To Make A Healthier Easter Basket

Who doesn’t love a good homemade Easter basket?  Instead of hopping up (no pun intended) everyone on a basket full of sugar, try these simple tricks to make a healthier Easter treat!

Think of fun, non-candy items as your fillers; books, jump ropes, disposable cameras and art supplies.  Garden seeds are also a great addition because it keeps kids involved in a longer-term project to be responsible for.  Plus, they’ll love watching it grow!

For the plastic eggs, stuff them with party beads, coins, confetti, or even cute, pastel colored socks.  Decorate hard-boiled eggs with a PAAS Easter Egg Kit and include those in your basket as well!

No basket is complete without a chocolate bunny, so instead, keep a look out for the antioxidant-rich dark chocolate ones.  There are many health benefits linked to dark chocolate: preventing heart disease, improving your mood, and protecting your skin.  Any excuse to eat chocolate is fine by us!

Live Long and Prosper With These Tips:

I’ve never been a big fan of exercise or dieting. I prefer everything in moderation. Can I be in better shape? Absolutely. But am I willing to go the extra step? Definitely not :)

Here are things that keep me in good mental and physical shape.

1. “Eat Right For Your Type” is the best book I ever read on diet and nutrition. It just makes sense and there is no dieting involved. I have been following this for many, many years and recommended it to many of my friends.  

2. My only forms of exercise are walking in the nature on the weekends and swimming in my pool in the summer. I love any activities that include water. Being on the boat is very relaxing and recharging. I basically look for anything to relieve the stress.

3. I like to snack throughout the day. To keep it on the healthier side and to get the antioxidants, I snack on blueberries. For my sweet cravings I indulge in chocolate, also high in antioxidants. My favorite brand is Epiphany handmade gourmet chocolates .

4. Sunbathing is a must for me. I never over do it. But 30 minutes of sunshine over the weekend provides me with a healthy glow and vitamin D. My favorite suntan lotion is  Maui Babe. It smells like coffee and it leaves your skin super soft.
