Summertime and The Livin’s Easy: Laura’s Must-Haves

In the midst of summer, P3R continues to share our essentials for enjoying the season!

Who: Laura, Junior Publicist: Lifestyle Department

 Summertime Essentials:

Summer is my favorite season! With the windows always open and the warm breeze flowing in, what’s not to love?! I always strive to have fresh flowers around my apartment- they make me happy just looking at them!  Having the best blooms in your home can get expensive, but Dandelion Ranch picks superior quality stems so they last longer than the ones you get at the grocery store.

On the weekends I generally head to the beach. I accessorize with Tinsley Transfers because they provide a vast array of options. I love the look of tattoos, but don’t want to make any permanent decisions just yet.  This tribal design is one of my summertime favorites.  Since one of my favorite water activities is stand up paddle boarding, spicing up a plain bathing suit is always a great idea!

In my opinion, lemonade is the perfect beverage for those warm, lazy days.  The first time I went to Lemonade (the café located on Beverly Blvd) I felt compelled to order the drink because of the name.. and I’m so happy I did!  Try the blood orange or blueberry mint flavors- so unique and refreshing!

What is your favorite summer drink?

Bury notes, “Using unexpected varietals, vintages vases and more, Clover Chadwick of L.A.’s Dandelion Ranch floral studio infuses her creations with wild imagination … While traveling to far-off places may not be in the budget, filling your home with exotic flowers hopefully is.  Clover’s clients recently have been asking her to conjure faraway places with flowers and edibles.” For more floral ingenuity keep reading HERE.

Dandelion Ranch Featured in Refinery 29′s ‘Top L.A. Florists’

Refinery 29, the go-to source for fashion, beauty, and local trends, knows what they’re talking about when they name the “best” places of each major city! This time around, in their Best of Los Angeles they featured Dandelion Ranch in their article,”Get Your Home Summer-Ready With Blooms From These Top L.A. Florists!”  Clover Chadwick, owner and principle designer of Dandelion Ranch, has created beautiful and inspiring arrangements for some of LA’s top restaurants, hotels, and events.

Refinery 29 calls Chadwick the “floral aficionado” who receives “rave reviews from all over town.” This is true as she has created floral arrangements that fit top LA restaurants Lucques, Mozza, and Ammo.  Having worked in the restaurant business prior, she has an unparalleled understanding of bridging the two industries together. Clover presents her blooms in vintage and modern containers utilizing the plant’s natural movement. It is without a doubt Dandelion Ranch is one of LA’s top florists!

Party Like It’s 1922: Great Gatsby

Released last night was the much-anticipated Great Gatsby trailer, a recount of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s 1925 jazz era novel. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Joel Edgerton, Baz Luhrmann’s film showcases the glitz and glam of the 1920s!

Jay Gatsby, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, is notorious for throwing his extravagant Saturday night parties in his gothic-style mansion. After watching this trailer, we couldn’t fight the urge to plan one too.

This table arrangement adds a level of class and sophistication to any party. With chandeliers and flower arrangements such as this from Dandelion Ranch, boutique florist in Los Angeles, you could be having parties as great as Gatsby’s in no time!

How would you decorate your next party?

A Natural Inspiration

Clover Chadwick, LA’s hottest florist and owner of Dandelion Ranch, has created magnificent floral designs for some of Los Angeles’ top restaurants and events.  Growing up in the desert she matured her creativity taking from her limited resources. Akin to how Clover has taken inspiration from her environment and utilized the flowers’ natural movement, we saw a muse in this arrangement.

It has a striking resemblance to the jaw-dropping FERI Diana Ring.  This sterling silver ring with AAA white cubic zirconia is not only the perfect ring, but the perfect gift. Why not pair the two together? We might just treat ourselves a little early this year.

Legends of La Cienega 2012: Windows to the World

A fusion of art, fashion, design and culture, LEGENDS provides a unique combination of education and entertainment for those who appreciate design.  This is the 4th annual event where tastemakers from around the world come together to the La Cienega Design Quarter for 3 days of celebration!

On the itinerary for LEGENDS are cocktail parties and receptions, keynote panel discussions, art exhibitions, book-signings, trunks shows, and the signature window campaign featuring vignettes curated by the world’s top designers inspired by their favorite artists.  A power lunch at Compas, hosted by Elle Decor’s editor-in-chief Michael Boodro was one of the featured events.  Local L.A. floral design shop Dandelion Ranch incorporated a vintage atmosphere by utilizing old wine boxes as containers.

P3R Grows With Dandelion Ranch

P3R welcomes Dandelion RanchClover Chadwick, owner and principle designer, can completely transform any space with her seasonal and sustainable designs, which start with local growers.

Within a moment of seeing a Dandelion Ranch arrangement, you can tell that it wasn’t created by an ordinary flower shop.  Their arrangements are not just plopped into boring glass vases, but carefully composed in vintage or modern opaque containers, which they consider to be as important as the blooms themselves!  All of their arrangements are unique and truly remarkable.

Dandelion Ranch‘s philosophy is that they are committed to doing as much as they can to help our planet remain a safe, healthy, and beautiful haven.  Apparently it is customary for florists to use a floral foam that is non-biodegradable and that has been found to cause harm to the environment (as well as to the people who handle it.) Dandelion Ranch uses a completely safe, earth-friendly alternative made from natural ingredients.

How often do you buy flowers for your home?
