Within a moment of seeing a Dandelion Ranch arrangement, you can tell that it wasn’t created by an ordinary flower shop.  Their arrangements are not just plopped into boring glass vases, but carefully composed in vintage or modern opaque containers, which they consider to be as important as the blooms themselves!  All of their arrangements are unique and truly remarkable.

Dandelion Ranch‘s philosophy is that they are committed to doing as much as they can to help our planet remain a safe, healthy, and beautiful haven.  Apparently it is customary for florists to use a floral foam that is non-biodegradable and that has been found to cause harm to the environment (as well as to the people who handle it.) Dandelion Ranch uses a completely safe, earth-friendly alternative made from natural ingredients.

Earth Day: Good For The Wallet and Planet

This year’s Earth Day is centered around the theme “one billion acts of green,” which promotes individuals to make simple environmentally friendly changes.  It encourages people to reduce their carbon footprint by switching off lightbulbs and walking short distances rather than getting in their cars.

We’ve heard this a million times, though.  Riding your bike a few times a week or refilling  the same water bottle sometimes doesn’t make you feel that your actions are making a huge change for the planet, right?  Instead of feeling like it doesn’t make a difference for the globe, think about the difference in your wallet.  Insignificant acts of “green” directly impact your daily expenses.

Sustainable Spring Style Part II

As we continue through Earth Month, we’ve continued to round-up some of our favorite eco-chic products that are equally environmentally friendly as they are fashion forward.
