Catching Up With Sharni Vinson

Actress Sharni Vinson has been very busy these days, from her time in Australia to the Kentucky Derby she is constantly on the go. On her days off she likes to lead a more mellow life and her wardrobe reflects her low-key sensibility. She adores her super soft BoBo House long sleeve and comfy jeans for running errands, but spends the extra time to accessorize just right with a pop of color with her Russian Dolls pendant and utilitarian and purposeful patterned JuJuBe bag.

We had the pleasure to catch up with Sharni and see what’s on her mind!

1. What is the best beauty advice you ever received?

Less is more. Natural beauty is always the way to go.

2. What is your favorite item in your closet?

My workman-like boots. I own them in 3 colors and wear them with everything.

3. What is a summer wardrobe staple that you can’t live without?

Big sun hats!

4. Where is your favorite outdoor lunch spot in LA?

The Larchmont Bungalow and Cafe Gratitude are both so delicious.

5. Any upcoming summer trips planned?

My best friend is getting married in Australia as well as my cousin is getting married this summer too! I can’t wait to attend both weddings and share in their big days.

The hat and dress combination garnered Sharni so much attention that she was named by multiple sources as having one of the best hats! Sharni accented her summery dress with a fabulous Jessica Grant golden clutch and Amedeo necklace and statement bangle. Don’t they look great together?

The couple stole the spotlight on the red carpet.

The Greatest Two Minutes In Sports

Today marks the 138th annual Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs y’all, a.k.a ‘The Greatest Two Minutes in Sports.’

Whether you’re the type that bets on a horse because of “its cute name” or one of the lucky few sitting in the owner’s box, the moment the horses break from the gates, everyone is on edge.

With twenty horses, all of which are running a mile and a quarter for the first time, anything and everything is bound to happen.  Bodemeister is the favorite to win at today’s race, but he is named after the trainer’s son- a jinx in the racing world.  The second favorite is Union Rags.  Time will tell who wins!
