“The Bash” of All Bashes Help Teens in Need
11 May 2011
While most teens are worrying about keeping up with the latest trends and what they’ll be wearing to prom, Bosilika An and Nathalia Nora, are two remarkable young women who are working towards helping other teens in need. With just a visit to Santa’s Workshop at the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, Bosilika and Nathalia came up with the concept of “The Bash”, a black-tie event fundraiser with the goal of raising awareness and money for three children’s hospitals in California.
When visiting the hospital, the girls noted that there was ample funding for young children, but teens were a large demographic that was being left out. They wanted to create an organization with the premise, “teens helping teens, one event at a time”. Their goal is to make the lives of teen patients more enjoyable by providing financial, medical, social and emotional support through technological relief outlets like, gaming devices.
This year’s event will be hosted by Shenae Grimes of the hit show 90210 with an exclusive fashion show by Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti. With Gavin of LCD Sound System, surprise performances and celebrities walking the red carpet, this year’s event will surely be bigger than the last!
“The BASH” begins at 8PM on Saturday, May 14th at ELXR Lounge in Hollywood. Tickets can be bought at http://www.mintcastle.com/page/thebash
