Set in the back-lot of Paramount Pictures, lucky attendees braved the summer sun and embarked on a culinary journey of epic proportions for the chance to sample the best of what L.A’s top restaurants had to offer, and Coupa was certainly no exception.

From their fried white cheese, flour dough Tequeños to their wheat-free, cheese-stuffed arepas, Coupa gave food-goers a taste of L.A, Coupa Café style. Executive Chef and owner Camelia Coupal was also in attendance to greet fellow Angelenos and represent the food she loves. Bon appetite!

Not So Dark Secret

British film director, Christopher Nolan, famous for his work on Inception and now all 3 Batman films was recently interviewed by the Los Angeles Times about the soon to be released Dark Knight Rises. You would never have guessed it, but all four films shot scenes in the same renovated sheds meant to house the British Royal Airship Works over 85 years ago. Nolan says about his father’s view, “I think my dad put it best when he visited and referred to it as the world’s largest toy box.”

Inside this box is where Nolan’s brain just doesn’t stop ticking. Even in today’s tech-obsessed era, Nolan doesn’t want to be bothered with an email account nor a cell phone. This movie is “the only major popcorn release shot on film stock” and he is probably the only director out there who stays away from the strong use of digital effects. Christopher even puts together all the shots in his head and not even the actors always know how it will all come together!

Secrets about the plot have been revealed, however, telling of a troubled Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) who must stop the terrorist Bane (Tom Hardy) from severing Gotham city from the outside world. However, it can be quoted that “Anarchy spreads but the chaos is only a cover from Bane’s true plans — those, like the villain himself, are difficult to unmask.”
