TGIF! The weekend is basically here and what better way to spend it than outdoors! Thankfully the weather forecast is in the mid-70′s here in Los Angeles, so locals: park your car and break out your beach cruiser! If you’re in the area and don’t have one, check out Sea Mist Rentals.

Hint: This is also a very good idea for a Valentine’s Day date for those without a large budget! Pack some sammies and have a romantic picnic on the beach. Et voila!

So get your cruise on and bike it out like the celebs do!

Who is a good celebrity fashion designer?
Victoria Beckham. Her design is very polished and timeless. Trends do not last; I like timeless designs that will work 30 years from now. Most celebrity turned fashion designer clothing lines are usually very trendy. Victoria Beckham is an exception. I also like the Row by Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen.

Where is your favorite place to find a good bargain?
Vintage and thrift stores. Fashion is art and clothes are the masterpieces. They need to be treasured and adored. Often vintage/thrift store owners do not understand the value of many pieces of clothes. It is a perfect place to find a good bargain.

Smartphone + Internet + time = great deal. Do your homework before you shop you might find a $10,000 coat for $10.

What would make for a good designer collaboration that hasn’t happened yet?
David Beckham has an underwear line with H & M, however I would love see Victoria’s ladylike elegance design at an affordable price. It would be nice to see a collaboration with Marc Jacobs, maybe Louis Vuitton x H&M/Target.

What is a good statement piece to own this season?
This season is all about a bold, bright and happy colors. Animal print [the actually animal, especially birds] was hot on Spring/Summer runway, and I am expecting to see a lot of them. Because there will be a lot of fun, bold and interesting pattern, a good statement piece to own is a doctor’s bag. It is minimalist and classy and would go with everything.

What’s the last good movie that you saw?
The last movie I saw was Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked. The chipmunks dress very nice. It is a good relaxing family movie.

Red is an extremely versatile, cross-seasonal color. Red haute on the red carpet is a great look for Fall 2011. Even though designers such as Valentino and Christian Louboutin have captured the essence of red throughout many of their collections, for premiere designers, this must-have fall color is a no-brainer.

The color red is a bold classic that turns heads because of the diversion it creates from the darkness of fall and winter. It speaks to power, magnificence, elegance, and passion—and is a great way to transition a basic piece into a true fashion statement.

The color red is all over the runway and the red carpet. Celebrities seen in red couture gowns include Mary Kate Olsen, Jennifer Lopez, Gisele Bundchen, and Anne Hathaway.
