President Obama’s White House kitchen has been hard at work coming up with new official beer recipes.  Last week the President admitted that he enjoyed the new brew flavors while on tour with his staff.  Now, beer aficionados are demanding to know their small-batch methods!

Individuals filed a petition stating, “In keeping with the brewing traditions of the founding fathers, homebrewers across America call on the Obama Administration to release the recipe for the White House home brew so that it may be enjoyed by all.”

We know at least a few of the beers use honey from First Lady Michelle’s bee garden.  Presidential varietals include White House Honey Ale, White House Honey Blonde and White House Honey Porter.  The President is obviously huge fan of the beers, quoted as saying they are simply, “superb.”

The Vampire Apocalypse

As if vampires have actually infiltrated our lives, they have taken over the big screen. From the fantasy romance series of Twilight by American author Stephanie Meyer and director Catherine Hardwicke to the HBO series True Blood, written by Charlaine Harris and created by Emmy award-winning Alan Ball, people just can’t seem to get enough of vampires. Now, hitting theaters today is Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, about the untold secret life of our 16th president and his relentless hunt for the vampires plotting to take over the United States.

Based on the novel and screenplay by Seth Grahame-Smith, Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov have chosen to resurrect this adaptation and make it into a film. Starring Benjamin Walker, Rufus Sewell and Dominic Cooper, we’ll see if Lincoln has what it takes to stop these zombies once and for all.

What’s on Obama’s iPod?

President Obama announced yesterday via his facebook what his Spotify playlist contains. His tastes in music have a pretty big range, from hip Florence + The Machine to oldschool Earth, Wind and Fire.  He kept it pretty mellow, as nothing was too offensive or political.  Obama chose a few vaguely patriotic songs, including Everyday America by Sugarland.

Whatever your political opinions are, it’s pretty comical imagining the President jamming out to U2 in The White House!
