Seeing The World Through Rosé Colored Wine Glasses

From Summer BBQs with families to dinner parties with friends, rosé wine has become a very popular beverage option to serve.  We’ve listed off a few types of glasses you can find in our cabinets for those special (or everyday) occasions!

(Clockwise from top left): These stemless hand blown glasses from Anthropologie add a bit of comfort and ease to sipping wine.  Each one looks handmade and authentic since they are not uniform.  Some still have the bubbles within the glasses for that extra charm.

West Elm has a hammered-acrylic glassware set we just adore!  The wine glasses are available by set of 4 for only $18.  That way if somebody accidentally breaks one, they won’t feel bad since it’s such a steal.

La Rochere Bee Embossed Wine Glasses are idyllic for your Summer tabletop.  With the price point of just under $9/glass, we think this French-made barware is the bee’s knees!

Novica Grape Blossoms Etched wine glasses are handmade, and offered in partnership with NOVICA, in association with National Geographic.  Javier and Efrén are the artists behind these beautiful pieces.  They have worked together to preserve Mexico’s blown glass artistry. “Javier specializes in the design of the pieces, and Efrén transforms them into reality.”

What glassware do you serve for your summer gatherings?

Drab to Fab: An Office Makeover

Out with the old, in with the new. It’s time to reorganize that office and show some personal style! This way when people enter, they’ll automatically get those good vibes.  It’s all about making your office look like it feels.

People equate an office’s level of sophistication with its modernness, so here are some ways to add those special touches and some personality. First, change out that dingy, old rolling chair to one like this from West Elm which is sure to swivel you to get those creative juices flowing. Next, add a little color with Clara Von Zweigbergk and Hay Kaleido Trays and Hiroaki Watanabe Indice Bookends, perfect for organizing with style!

Gather up all those little odds and ends and store them in some of Urban Outfitters Test Tube Office Supply Set- it’s fun and a bit quirky! Lastly, tackle that storage closet you’ve always kept closed to the public (and even wanted to hide from yourself). The Design Within Reach Uten.Silo II has containers of all shapes and sizes and even metal hooks and clips for everything you’ve thought has needed hiding.

Be honest, does your office need a makeover?

Legends of La Cienega 2012: Windows to the World

A fusion of art, fashion, design and culture, LEGENDS provides a unique combination of education and entertainment for those who appreciate design.  This is the 4th annual event where tastemakers from around the world come together to the La Cienega Design Quarter for 3 days of celebration!

On the itinerary for LEGENDS are cocktail parties and receptions, keynote panel discussions, art exhibitions, book-signings, trunks shows, and the signature window campaign featuring vignettes curated by the world’s top designers inspired by their favorite artists.  A power lunch at Compas, hosted by Elle Decor’s editor-in-chief Michael Boodro was one of the featured events.  Local L.A. floral design shop Dandelion Ranch incorporated a vintage atmosphere by utilizing old wine boxes as containers.
