Seeing The World Through Rosé Colored Wine Glasses

From Summer BBQs with families to dinner parties with friends, rosé wine has become a very popular beverage option to serve.  We’ve listed off a few types of glasses you can find in our cabinets for those special (or everyday) occasions!

(Clockwise from top left): These stemless hand blown glasses from Anthropologie add a bit of comfort and ease to sipping wine.  Each one looks handmade and authentic since they are not uniform.  Some still have the bubbles within the glasses for that extra charm.

West Elm has a hammered-acrylic glassware set we just adore!  The wine glasses are available by set of 4 for only $18.  That way if somebody accidentally breaks one, they won’t feel bad since it’s such a steal.

La Rochere Bee Embossed Wine Glasses are idyllic for your Summer tabletop.  With the price point of just under $9/glass, we think this French-made barware is the bee’s knees!

Novica Grape Blossoms Etched wine glasses are handmade, and offered in partnership with NOVICA, in association with National Geographic.  Javier and Efrén are the artists behind these beautiful pieces.  They have worked together to preserve Mexico’s blown glass artistry. “Javier specializes in the design of the pieces, and Efrén transforms them into reality.”

What glassware do you serve for your summer gatherings?

Venti.. Vino? Starbucks makes a play for ‘Bar’ Bucks

Starbucks has announced that they will be adding beer and wine to their menus at select stores throughout Southern California, Chicago and Atlanta. The Seattle-based company will continue to test out this “one stop for all beverages” idea, as alcohol is already being served in a few stores near Seattle and Portland.

This idea came about since Starbucks has a hard time getting customers to come in during the evenings.  After 4pm, patrons can enjoy a new happy hour spot as well as snacking on additional food items.  ”Premium items” such as hot flatbreads, savory snacks and small plates will be on the menu.

Getting your fix, in a different way

Starbucks is already notorious for jacking up their prices, so how much will they charge for wine and beer? A glass of wine will run you anywhere between $7-$9 and beer will only be $5.  That is cheaper than some restaurants! Their notion is that pouring a glass of wine is less labor intensive that making a latte.  We’ll have to wait and see if this new idea will take flight!

Would you try a beer or glass of wine at Starbucks?
