Lakers Hall-of-Famer Magic Johnson has struck headlines again!  Earvin “Magic” Johnson and a group of fellow investors will ante up $2.15 billion for the L.A. team. The Dodgers drew less than 3 million fans for the first time since 1995.  Hopefully the new ownership will bring back interest in some good old-fashioned American baseball!

Magic is obviously hugely popular within the Los Angeles community.  In an interview with USA Today, Dodgers outfielder Tony Gwynn Jr. says of Johnson, ”He better get his hand ready because there’ll be 25 guys in here holding basketballs ready to be signed.  I’m probably more pumped than anybody in this room because I’m the biggest Laker fan in the world.”

The Carrie Diaries: Sex And The City Prequel

‘The Carrie Diaries‘ is the upcoming prequel to the famed Sex and the City story by author Candace Bushnell.  AnnaSophia Robb will play a young Carrie Bradshaw during her high school years in the CW series.  The show will feature the budding fashionista’s early relationships, her first love, and how she began her writing career.

AnnaSophia Robb is most notable for her roles in Soul Surfer and Bridge to Terabithia.  It looks like Carrie’s “high school years” wardrobe was pulled directly from the modern-day Carrie Bradshaw closet in this photo.  As huge fans of the original Sex And The City show, we know that AnnaSophia has some big (to-die-for) shoes to fill!
